Plexure takes out I-COM's Data Venture Challenge

Hot on the heels of 2014's win, Plexure has again been awarded with top honors at the I-COM big data conference in San Sebastian, Spain. We were named as an Official Selection in the mobile categories of the Data Venture Challenge and Data Creativity awards and took out both, along with the overall Data Venture Challenge Award. The I-COM awards are becoming extremely popular and the 29 finalists this year were chosen by a panel of judges from hundreds of entries. We were up against companies from 14 different countries, including global brands (Unilever), start-ups (KlickPush (USA)), and worldwide media agencies (Media Com and OMD).

We think this win shows that smart marketing is not just about collecting large data sets; the crucial advantage is in collecting relevant, real-time data from a range of sources, and then using that data to create a uniquely personalized experience for each customer. Using Microsoft Azure cloud technology, the Plexure platform is able to analyze this data in real-time to personalize content on the fly for millions of mobile users. Ultimately, the judges recognized the dramatic business impact that implementations of the Plexure platform had made to customers, giving them outstanding return from their data.

I-COM 2015 presentation

The I-COM Global Summit is the world's leading Data & Measurement Strategy event, where the Data Elite gather from around the world to learn, network / trade and lead. The conference is in its sixth year, with the Data Creativity and Venture Challenge awards having run for the last three years. Finalists presented their entries in six minute speaking slots to a board and jury made up of around fifty industry leaders, data champions and researchers from around the world. The presentations were considered along with a detailed written submission to select the winners.

The Data Venture Challenge category showcases top international start-ups with Marketing Data & Measurement as a major selling point of their product(s) or services.

The Data Creativity Challenge acknowledges the most creative people & companies achieving business value and, ideally, competitive advantage for their clients through data.
